04 May 2014 "Abbatoir near Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India"
In
India,
the
majority of the population is vegetarian,
even
the cows.
Isn’t
that interesting?
Never
in my own life have I eaten more
vegetables
than anything else
and
never in my life have I truly felt
holy.
I
wonder if it is something
connected
to the vegetables?
Because
in my experience
I
have seen that no matter what
the
religion
those
with less fat to cover their bones
are
often those who praise
God
for their fair blessings
rather
than scorn him
for
the unfair ones.
The
next time I eat a
hamburger
I’m going to consider
the
cow who made it.
I
wonder if he had enough grass
to
eat
or if
his skinny bones cried out
in
prayer.
